Loretta Welsh

 DeWITT, Iowa -- Services for Loretta M. Welsh, a resident of West
Wing Place, DeWitt, will be 10:30 a.m.  Monday at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, DeWitt. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery,
Petersville. Visitation is 2-6 p.m. today at Nelson-Heesch Funeral
Home, DeWitt, with a rosary at 4 p.m.  and a prayer service at 6
p.m. Mrs. Welsh died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at DeWitt Community
Hospital.  She farmed with her family for 15 years near Morrison, and
then worked at Wards in Clinton for 10 years.  She and her husband
farmed for 11 years, retiring in 1966. Loretta Welsh was born June 14,
1909, near Fenton. She married Edward Welsh in 1955 in Clinton. He
died in 1977. Survivors include nephews, James and Joe McGuire, both
of DeWitt.
