Welsh, son of Mrs. Raymond Welsh, 1512 N. 5th St. and the late Mr. Welsh. A fall wedding is planned. Miss Goethals attended the American Institute of Commerce, Davenport, and is employed by Travelers Insurance Co. Her fiance, attended the University of Missouri, served four years in the air force, and is a laboratory technician at the Collis Co. Welsh, son of Mrs. Raymond Welsh, 1512 N. 5th St. The couple, whose engagement was announced in July, will exchange their vows at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church in Tipton, with a reception immediately following in the Tipton city hall and a dance later in the Wheatland American Legion hall. Relatives and friends are invited to the ceremony, reception and dance. Attending Miss Goethals will be her sister, Miss Joanna Goethals of Davenport, as maid of honor; and Mrs. Lawrence Martens of Camanche, sister of the bride and Mrs. Mary Connell of DeWitt, cousin of the bridegroom, as bridesmaids. Debbie Dalton of Welton and Eileen Goethals of New Liberty, cousins of the couple, will be the flower girls. Charles Welsh, brother of the bridegroom-elect, will serve him as best man. the ushers will be Lawrence Martens and Wayne Connell. The Clinton Herald Friday November 7, 1980 p. 9 The engagement of Barbara Jean Welsh , daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Welsh, Route 3, DeWitt, and the late Leo Welsh, to Kevin Kinkaid, son of Mrs. Louise Kinkaid and Jerry Kinkaid , both of Clinton, has been announced by her mother. The couple will exchange marriage vows in a private ceremony 7:30 p.m. April 11 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A reception for friends and relatives will be held 8:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club. Miss Welsh, a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a masters degree from Mary Crest College, is employed in the Clinton Community School System at Gateway Middle School. Welsh of Davenport were united in marriage Saturday morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton Junction. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Caes of Stockton. The bridegroom, a former resident of the Wilton Community is the son of Mrs. Raymond Welsh of Clinton and the late Mr. Welsh. Rev. Vincent Morrissey officiated at the double ring ceremony with Mrs. Loretta Hansen at the organ, and Mrs. Reno Droll, vocalist. The bride wore a floor length gown of silk organza styled with round neckline, tiny sleeves and bouffant skirt accented with rose motifs. A satin cummerbund wrapped the waistline. Her bouquet was a cascade of pink roses. She wore her mother's bridal veil of French illusion attached to a crown of roses, forget-me-nots and lace. Miss Florence Caes, sister of the bride, was maid of honor wearing a lavender brocaded taffeta dress and a headband of carnations with veil. She carried an arrangement of white carnations. Miss Eileen Puck of Stockton and Miss Janet Dalton of Welton, cousin of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. They wore nile green brocaded taffets gowns with tulle veils and carnation headpieces. Their flowers were white carnations. Richard Welsh of Camanche served his brother as best man. Don Johnson of Welton and Clarence Richlen of Donahue ushered. After an eastern wedding trip the couple will reside at 734 Brady St., Apt. 7-B, Davenport.
