Norman J. Scott Norman J. Scott, 71, of Myrtle Beach, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del. He was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Cambridge, Mass., a son of the late Norman and Myrtle Jobse Scott. He was formerly of Arcade, N.Y., where he lived 35 years. Mr. Scott was a retired lawyer, past president of Wyoming Co. Bar Association and former member of the Toastmasters, Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Scott; two sons, John Scott of Norwalk, Conn., and Steven Scott of Westbury, N.Y.; two brothers, Donald Scott of Severna Park, Md., and Richard Scott of Newark, Del.; a sister, Amy Grieger of Mackinaw, Mich; and four grandchildren. Scott, 77, of Heron Point died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born March 29, 1927 in Wellsville, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Sigurd Carlson. Mrs. Scott was a graduate of Buffalo State University in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a retired school teacher with 30 years of service from the Pioneer School District in Delevan, N.Y. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and an avid golfer. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Norman J. Scott in 1997. Surviving are sons, John C. Scott and wife, Kimberly of Ridgefield, Conn., and Steven A. Scott and wife, Lisa of Westbury, N.Y.; grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Scott and Chelsea and Christopher Scott; brother, John Carlson and wife, Marilyn of Ambler, Pa. and nephews, Mark, Scott and Eric Carlson.
