WATT Land Records  in Preble Co., Ohio

William WATT first appears in Preble Co. OH in 1815, buying a lot in
the town of Eaton.  He also buys 50 acres in 1817 from the estate of
someone.  In 1823 he buys two separate rural quarter-sections from the
US land grant office.  He sells most of one of those quarter-sections
to his two sons, Alexander and Joseph, in 1826 (50 acres each).  He
buys more land in or near Eaton in 1828, 1830, and 1833 (including
buildings and machinery).  I don't have any records of the purchases
being sold ever.  But I don't yet have records of transactions after
1833.  I guess they were disposed of on William's death or when
Rebecca moved to Indiana.
