Urban E. Shannon

Urban E. Shannon, 88, of Milledgeville died Thursday in a local
hospital.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The Rev. hugh Marren officiated. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Shannon, a native of Iowa, had lived in Baldwin County for 23
years. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and a member of
Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Rosie Shannon and Barbara Meeks, both
of Milledgeville; a son, Wayne Shannon of West Virginia; a sister,
Regina Smith of Keota, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

Williams Memorial Chapel had charge of arrangements.
