Pvt. Truman Bledsoe Pvt. Truman Bledsoe, 37, husband of the former Ruth Shannon of Clinton, now of St. Louis, Mo., died yesterday morning of wounds received in action while serving in Belgium, in Lawton army hospital at Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning in St. Anne's church in Normandy, Mo. Burial will be in St. Louis Pvt. Bledsoe was born Dec. 29, 1907, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Truman and Stella Bledsoe. He was married to Ruth Shannon May 2, 1928. He entered service in August, 1944, and took basic training at South Camp Hood, Tex. He went overseas in Dec. 1944 and was wounded in Belgium in Jan., 1945. He returned to the States about May 6 and has been a patient in the Lawton hospital ever since. Surviving are his widow, a son, Terry; his father; a brother, Bill; and a sister, Mrs. Crawford, of Evanston, Ill. Clinton Herald June 11, 1945
