Helen C. McDonald Helen C. McDonald, 79, of DeWitt died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, with Father H. Robert Harness officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, DeWitt. Pallbearers will be William, Tom, and John Henricksen, William Manning, Tom Evans, and Richard Hanrahan. Visitation was 2-8 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt, with a rosary at 3 p.m. and scripture service at 7 p.m. Helen C. Hanrahan was born Nov. 22, 1918, in Charlotte to Charles ``C.T.'' and Monica McDermott Hanrahan. She married Ambrose McDonald Feb. 10, 1948 in Charlotte. He died Aug. 26, 1991. She and her husband owned and operated McDonald Cleaners in DeWitt 1932-1972. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, DeWitt, and the Altar and rosary Society. Survivors include daughters, Patricia Henricksen of DeWitt and Joanne (Mrs. Tom) Evans of Maquoketa; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Clare Hanrahan.
