Skelley--Shannon
                                            
  This morning  at  6  o'clock,  in  St.  Joseph's  church,  Rev. Norris  
  officiating, occurred the wedding of Miss Julia Shannon, daughter of Mr. 
  and Mrs. P. Shannon of this city, and Lewis E. Skelley, Son of Mr. and 
  Mrs. L. C. Skelley,  of south of  town. Miss Nellie C.  Wolfe acted as  
  bridesmaid and Paul B. Skelley as groomsman.
  
  After the wedding, they reported to the home of the brides parents, Mr. 
  and Mrs. Patrick Shannon, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served 
  to the immediate relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Skelley took the morning train 
  to Chicago. where they will spend some time visiting with relatives and 
  friends.  The Advertiser extends congratulations.

  1904 Headline - J. V. Shannon is married, former Clinton man weds Miss  
  Ryan of St. Joseph, Mo.
  
  The Clinton friends of Jere V. Shannon,  formerly of this city will be  
  interested to learn of his marriage on  February 16th, to Miss Mary L.  
  Ryan of St. Joseph, Missouri. The St. Joseph Tribune says of the Nuptial 
  Affair:
  
  Mr. and  Mrs. J.  B.  Ryan of  313  South sixth  Street,  announce the  
  marriage of their daughter, Mary L. to Mr. Jere Shannon of Chicago. The 
  ceremony occurring February 16th in  Chillicothe, Missouri. Rev. F. P.  
  Cummins officiating. After a brief visit with relatives of the groom in 
  Chillicothe and Hale, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Shannon will return to this 
  city for a few days stay with relatives of the bride, before leaving for 
  Chicago, where they will in the future reside.
  
  Mr. and Mrs. Shannon will have the  congratulations and best wishes of 
  all friends and acquaintances of the groom.
