Henrietta Kenney, Rock Island, will celebrate her 75th birthday at a
family dinner Oct. 30.

Henrietta Van Landt was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Clinton, Iowa. She
married Edward Kenney, Clinton, July 29, 1950, in Clinton. He died
Dec. 16, 2001.

Her children and spouses are Tom and Jackie Kenney, Thornton, Colo.;
Therese and Jim Fitzpatrick, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; Frank and Mary Fuhr,
Taylor Ridge; and Joe and Kim Kenney, Chicago. Her grandchildren are
Megan and Mike Fitzpatrick, Chris and Amanda Fuhr, Patrick and Lauren
Kenney.

She was employed as a circuit clerk for Rock Island County, retiring in 1992.

She is a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Jim Thyne joins the cross country program this year after serving at
Clinton High School for many years as an assistant with the school's
great cross country program. He attended Mount St. Clare College and
is the general manager for RHA Services Inc. in Clinton. He will
provide a great source of coaching expertise for the program and share
in directing it with Coach French. A life-long member of the
community, Thyne will help in creating service opportunities for the
University's cross country team as a part of the University's
Champions of Character initiative through the NAIA. He and his wife
Diane live in Clinton.
