Sylvia T. Shannon Services for Sylvia T. Shannon, 83, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in All Saints Catholic Church. Mrs. Shannon died at 10:12 p.m. Saturday in Miller's Merry Manor. Born Nov. 3, 1910, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Theresa Kandera Florian. On Aug 17, 1935, she was married in Chicago, Ill., to Robert A. Shannon, who died June 4, 1985. Mrs. Shannon, who had formerly lived at 2626 George and 1523 Spear St., was a homemaker. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, All Saints Ladies Scoiety, Daughters of Isabella and the Holy Rosary Study Club. Surviving are one son, Patrick T., Logansport, three daughters, Geraldine Burr, Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Roberta Ward, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Kathleen Bookwalter, Lafayette; one sister, Bess Skinner, Venice, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Two sisters preceded in death. Officiating at the services will be Fathers Donald Gross and Leo Haigerty. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Kroeger Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. and the Daughters of Isabella will hold a service after the rosary. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society.
