I have no evidence that Timothy was father of Martin although they were probably related. I have all three obits and will try to paste them in. Timothy don't sound like father as he only has one son John , and Martin had 2 brothers living. Nellie had no children of her own, which we already knew Death Summons Martin Hynes He Passed Away Saturday Evening At His Home, 420 A Street After Illness Of Three Weeks The death of Martin Hynes Occurred Saturday evening at his home, 420 A street in this city. Mr. Hynes was born in the county Clare in Ireland. He came to this city in 1866 and has lived here ever since. He has been retired from the grocery business for some years and was well known here. Mr. Hynes had reached the advanced age of eighty four when he died, after an illness of three weeks. He was a devout member of St. Peters church. He lived a very simple life and was well thought of by all who knew him. Mr. Hynes is survived by his widow Mrs. Nellie Hynes, and three children Mrs. J. E Concannon, of Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. J. P. O'Brien, of Cleveland, Ohio, and James J. Hynes of Davenport. He is survived by two brothers, Edward Hynes, of Portland, Oregon and Dennis Hynes, of Pella, Iowa. O'Rielly and James O'Brien Mrs. Hynes Dies At The Age Of Eighty Four Was a Native of Ireland And Has Lived in Keokuk for the Past Forty-four Years. Mrs. Nellie S. Hynes died Tuesday at about 11:30 a. m., at the home of her niece, Mrs. George Loter, 902 Palean street, at the age of eighty-four years. Her death was caused by heart trouble and complications. Nellie Shannon was born in Ireland on March 25, 1840, and came to America when a young woman. She settled first in Chicago and was married in that city to Martin Hynes. About forty-four years ago the family moved to Keokuk where they have since resided. Mr. Hynes preceded his wife in death three years ago. Mrs. Hynes is survived by three stepchildren, Mrs. E. J. Concannon of Davenport, Iowa: Mrs. J. P. O'Brien of Cleveland, Ohio and James J. Hynes of Davenport, all of whom are in Keokuk for the funeral. Eight grandchildren also survive, Mrs. Hynes was member of St. Peters Catholic church, and the Ladies of Charity. Note: St Peters is the Irish Catholic church of the area and Oakland cemetery has two sections, one being Catholic Timothy Hines Timothy Hines Came to Keokuk in The Early Fifties In the death of Timothy Hines which occurred early yesterday morning, a notice of which appeared in this paper, Keokuk loses one of its old-time citizens. Mr. Hines was born in County Clare, Ireland,, and settled in Keokuk in the fifties, having resided here continuously since that time. When he came here there were small frame houses along Main street, where the loftiest, buildings now stand. Mr. Hines was well and favorably known among Keokuk people and had a large circle of acquaintances and friends who will greatly regret his demise. He was a faithful member of Saint Frances de Sales church. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son: Mrs. Mollie Cook and Mrs. A. R. Hemenover of Keokuk and Mrs. M. E. Fitzpatrick of Ottumwa, Iowa, and John Hines of this city. Four grandchildren also survive, Mrs. Arthur Hickey of Ottumwa, Raymond and Joseph Cook and Earl Hemenover of Keokuk.
