Delia and Martin lived in De Witt until 1886. At that time,
Martin had to retire from ``active work'' because of his health
and they moved to Rock Island in 1886.
They lived at 921 2d Ave in 1900--4, at least. Martin worked
as a shoemaker in Rock Island according to old city directories.
According to the 1900 census, Bridget and her husband Martin
both immigrated in 1855. The census says she had 8 children, 3 living.
I have identified all three of the living daughters. The other five
probably died young while the family lived in Clinton County.
