In late December of 1995 we got Freddy as a 5
month old, his birthday is 7-22-95. At that time
he was a very dark brown color. Today at 2.5
years old, he is light brown to silver beige in
color. We were told that browns fade in color as
they get older but never did we expect this much
color change. Take a look at Freddy's Photo Page to see
for yourself.
We had a lot of first time learning to do with
Freddy. Crate training was new to us, more on
this later. Poodle hair care was not as bad as
some had painted it, but learning to groom a poodle for show was
only possible due to all the help we received
from R'Tec Poodles and their dog
handler Randy.
On April 1, 2005 Freddy died. He is missed by
may people that knew him, but I will never
forget this great poodle. I have been with dogs all
may life, and Freddy was the smartest, loving
animal of them all.
On January first of 1998 we got Jette as a 4
month old, her birthday is 8-30-97. She is half
sister to Freddy and is black. Take a look at Jette's Photo Page.

- Project 1
- Freddy and Keith are taking advanced
agility training through the Iowa City
Dog Obedience Club (ICDOC); Trainer is
Mary Lowder. Theresa monitors training.
- Project 2
- Jette and Keith are taking puppy class
training at SPOT & CO; Trainer is Sue
Pearson. Theresa monitors training. Jette
completed puppy kindergarten on the
evening of February 10,1998. She made us
very proud to be her trainers. Jette did
everything right.
- In order to pass the class Jette had to
show good heeling, recall, and a sit-stay
at the door as it was opened to go
outside.
- Jette is now signed up for beginning
agility and canine good citizen (CGC)
class training, both classes are with
SPOT & CO.
- Project 3
- Jette is a full time effort all by
herself. Being new to the household means
lots and lots for training. Theresa does
the bulk of this effort.
