Jeff Gordon has won three Winston Cup Championships. His first was in 1995 in 1997 and the last in 1998. In 1996 he was second behind his team-mate Terry Labonte. Jeff won 10 races for two years in a row and 13 in 1998. 1997 was highlighted by wins in the Daytona 500, the Coca-Cola 600 and the Mountian Dew Southern 500. Any driver who wins three of the four major races wins the Winston Million. These wins gave Jeff an extra million dollars . This was only accomplished once before. Bill Elliot did it the first year it was put up, 1985. Jeff also had his first road course win in 1997 at Watkins Glen.
