Juliana Hoke Zimmerman (Mrs. George Franklin Southwick) (1865-1940)

Zimmerman Family of Lehi, Utah, p. 25

There is a faith promoting story of Lawrence Hoke told me by his grand-daughter, my mother.  When he was on his death bed, his daughter Juliana (grand-mother Zimmerman) took care of him.  One day he called her to his bed and told her that in answer to prayer it had been made known to him that the true gospel had long been lost to the world, but would be restored.  Further, that he would not live to hear it preached, but that she would.  And that when she heard it she would know it to be true and would embrace it.  She was baptized eight years later, the only representative of her father’s family.

Dates and marriage from Ancestral File and Pedigree Resource File including this:

Married 1886. Parents John Zimmerman and Harriet Lamb.
