Eugene [Worlton] Bushman Dies in Canada, Following Operation (1876-1931)

Mrs. Martha [Worlton] Bushman received a telegram Saturday telling her of the sudden death of her only living son, Eugene W. Bushman, 54 years of age, who had passed away . . . morning, following an operation.

Mr. Bushman was born in Lehi, December 14, 1876, and lived there until he was nineteen years of age.  He then went to Canada with a company of Lehi people and . . . at Margreth Alberta.  He returned two years later and married Leah Christofferson of Lehi.  They returned to Margrath where they lived for about twenty years.  At the time of his death they were living in Frankburg, about 100 miles . . . of Magrath.

Mr. Bushman served as a . . . for about fifteen years and was ordained a patriarch before he was fifty years of age.  He was faithful (sp ?) to every calling and did a great deal toward building up the country.  He has always been industrious and has followed the occupation of farming.

He is survived by his wife, Leah Christofferson Bushman, son, LaMarr, two daughters, . . . and Dorothy, his mother, Mrs. Martha Bushman of Lehi and three Sisters, Mrs. Flora Zimmerman, Very Trunkey of Lehi, and Annie Miller of Magrath, Alberta, Canada; also one half brother Martin Bushman of Provo, and half sister, Mrs. Emmerett Archibald of Salt Lake City.

He was buried Monday in Canada.
