Walter Fenwick Smith ((1895-1935)

Walter was born 5 May 1895 in Snowflake, Arizona.  Residence: St. George and Provo, Utah; Snowflake, Arizona.  Graduate of Dixie College and BYU (B. S.), County farm agent, Washington Co., Utah.  Belonged to Arizona National Guard, 1916-17; served in the Navy in WWI.  Secretary of MIA, Snowflake, 1914-15. 

He married 9 September 1921, St. George Temple, Eleanor Seegmiller, daughter of Edwin D. Seegmiller and Eleanor Jarvis.  She was born 2 April 1899, St. George, Utah.  She graduated from Dixie College, 1919; BYU, 1926 (Home Econ.).  Taught school, Snowflake, 1918-21; worked with 4-H Clubs and Home Management Supervisor, Washington Co.  Primary teacher, St. George, 1916-17; Junior class leader, MIA, 1917-18; Beekeeper, 1918.  He died 8 August 1935.  She married David A. Butler, May 1950.
