Dozer's Domain

Here is Damien playing with some of the children in a dorm at Tupelo Children's Mansion. We worked there for a year and a half, and enjoyed every minute of it! Damien worked as an Administrative Assistant, and I wrote and edited the TCM magazine, "The Mansion Tidings." We traveled "on tour" through various states with a group of children to help raise funds for the Mansion. We got to see many things and meet many interesting people!

Here is a photo of Damien and I with Senator Trent Lott. We met him at a fundraising banquet while working for Tupelo Children's Mansion in Tupelo, MS. He was the special speaker for the event.

This is the Governor of Mississippi, Kirk Fordice and I. We met him at another fundraising banquet while working for TCM in Tupelo, MS. He was the special speaker.

Damien and I love traveling. Here we are caught in a snowstorm in the mountains in the small European country of Andorra. It was beautiful and picturesque.

This is Damien goofing off (as usual!) with Jeff Foxworthy... We were at a David and the Giants concert at this really neat place in Indiana awhile back...they had a bunch of memorabilia, including this life size, cardboard figure of Jeff Foxworthy. So, since I had my camera (always!), I had Damien pose next to JF. What a nut!!!

"What in the world is THAT?!?!" you ask? This is me touching a real, adult human brain! "Yuck!" you say? I say, "Cool!" We had a brain specialist come to the daycare where I work, and talk about the human brain. And, of course, she brought one for us to see and feel! Very interesting!

This photograph was taken on my very first missions trip ever...I went to Australia and New Zealand on IYC (International Youth Corps) with a group of young people, the Rev. Jack Cunninghams, and the Rev. Stephen Judds. What a great time!

My first glimpse of the beautiful Sydney Opera House in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia was on the IYC missions tour. It was amazing seeing this lovely structure rise majestically above the Sydney Harbour.

This was taken of Damien and I a few years ago when we ministered in Christchurch, New Zealand on our way back to the States from Australia. We were blessed to see many sites as well as fellowship with the Addingtons, missionaries to NZ. Christchurch (located in the South Island) is where I lived when I was an AIMer (Associates In Missions worker) with the Addingtons.

Here I am feeding some kangaroos in Perth, Western Australia. They look like they would feel "wirey", but they are very soft! Kangaroos run wild in Australia, much like the deer in Indiana. It was neat seeing them run in "mobs" across an open field. We view them as "cute", but the farmers consider them pests!
