The toad I kissed that turned into my Handsome Prince is Jonathan. We got married in 1982 and I have decided to keep him around for awhile! (Almost 22 years ... and still counting!)
The Stork delivered us two children. Michael with his dog Ralph ("Skeletor") who is 21 and Melissa who is 18. We have also "adopted" a sponsor child Alberto, who is 17 and lives near Barranquilla, Colombia in South America. (We sponsor Alberto through Children International).
The rest of the "family" consists of: one Pomeranian, Chara; one cat, Tiger (with Melissa); and fish. Not to be excluded are the "wild ones": The deer; squirrels (Rocky I -V??); rabbits (Peter and Roger); and countless birds (including my favorites...humming birds)......all who visit on a regular basis.
We currently reside near the city of Augusta in the State of Georgia. Our local newspaper is the Augusta Chronicle. I hope to add some local sites/information sometime in the future.
Jonathan and I are both nurses. I am a LPN and Jonathan is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. Jonathan is an Active Duty Army Nurse Corps Major.
cross-stitching - I finally completed a Coat of Arms for my Dad's side of the family. I am currently working on "Meeting on the Mountain" which is from a Hummel figurine and a lighthouse scene.
crocheting - I recently completed a double bed size (straight basketweave stitch) afaghan for my son.
quilting - I have two pillow tops started....they are in the craft box somewhere. (Another UFO casuality??)
plastic canvas needlepoint - I often make pins/magnets for the upcoming Holiday.
Fretwork - I became very intrigued with this as it is like "lace woodwork". You can make some beautiful gifts with this "lost art".
I do just about any craft I can get my hands on!! Of course I can't work on all these projects at once, that's why I have so many started! Hahaha
I also like swimming, camping, riding (motorcycle with Hubby), hiking, biking, gardening (veggies and flowers), reading and occasionally I get *inspired* to write poetry, (although I may not get to do some of these things as often as I'd like to).
