What a wonderful Breed

Akitas were originally bred to hunt bears in Japan. The Akita is a large and powerful dog often used as a police and guard dog in Japan.
Loyal companions, Akitas are regarded as a symbol of good health within Japan. Agressive towards other dogs, the Akita is dignified and responsive. Akitas were introduced into the US by Helen Keller.
