Crochet hook size: N or size needed for gauge.
Gauge:10 dc and 5 rows = 4 inches.
Note: Entire afghan is worked hoding one strand of MC and one strand of CC yarn together.
Directions: Ch 123 loosely.
Row 1: (Right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook {3 skipped chains count as first dc} and in next 3 ch,
* skip next 2 ch;, dc in next 4 ch, ch 2, dc in next 4 ch; repeat from * across to last 6 ch,
skip next 2 ch, dc in next 3 ch, 2 dc in last ch: 98 dc.
Note: Loop a short piece of yarn around any stitch to mark last row as right side.
Row 2: Ch 3 {counts as first dc}, turn; dc in same st and in next 3 dc, skip next 2 dc,
dc in next 3 dc, *(dc,ch 2,dc) in next ch-2 sp, dc in next 3 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 3 dc;

DIRECTIONS
With black, chain 270.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 11 ch, * 3 sc in next ch, sc in each of
next 12 ch, sk 2 ch, sc in each of next 12 ch; rep from * across to last 14 ch,
end with 3 sc in next ch, sc in each of next 12 sts, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops only, sc in next sc, sk 1 sc, sc in each of next 10 sc, * 3 sc in
next sc, sc in each of 12 sc, sk 2 sc, sc in each of next 12 sc; rep from * across to last 14 sc,
