FRARY FAMILY ASSOCIATION REFERENCES

UPDATED APRIL 26, 2009

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VALERIE!
The USS Evans ship reunion will be in May 8-9 2009 in Washington DC. I'll be flying out to meet my mother and sister Dorothy & her husband Dave. Please email me for more details at btrautlein@hotmail.com I've joined several cousins and classmates on FACEBOOK. We've been informed of a "60th" Birthday party for classmates of the classmates of the class of 1967 in July. I'd be happy to email the details if interested.

The 2008 Trautlein reunion was held in July hosted by the Helen DeGraff branch. Tom was able to attend this year. The RFT branch hosted the 2007 Trautlein reunion at the Robert H. Treman State Park in Ithaca, NY. August 9th was the date for the 2008 FRARY Family Reunion held on the second Saturday of the month in Deerfield, MA. I flew out to CT and drove to the reunion (less than an hour drive.) FFA is trying to get a group together to travel to England next Sept. (2009) Tom & I have sent our deposit.

This spring (2008) my youngest niece, Jessica and Tom's youngest niece, Elizabeth, both graduate from high school on opposite sides of Ohio. They are both attending colleges in Ohio.

My cousin Marlene July 2007

Marlene's husband Pat who recently passed away.

Tom went through Denver to take Steph & family to the 2007 reunion. On the way, they stopped in Conneaut. Val, Kelly and I flew to Ohio then drove to the reunion. Kelly & James had never been to Niagara Falls or Lake Erie so we made some detours on our trip.

In May 2007, Tom and I met mother, Dorothy, and Dave in Mobile, AL for the USS Evans Reunion.

August 2006, I learned about the REA side of my family. Denise Hall organized a small reunion in NW Pennsylvania. I hope to be able to attend the next one. While I was in Conneaut this summer (2007), mother and I met cousin Denise and her father in Girard, PA.

May 2005, Tom and I attended the USS Evans Reunion in Milwaukee, WI with my mother, Dorothy and Dave.

Chris's graduation party 2005.

Chris received this quilt as a graduation present and was awarded several honors for his achievements in carpentry!!..

I've been working to compile Trautlein records and pictures for a newly found branch of the family. We got to meet them when we were in Milwaukee in 2005. It was really exciting for us and I finally know the "OTHER Barbara Trautlein" and her daughter, Veronica!

Tom and I met Fred's second grandson July 2006. Sam Saccamanno.

I scanned a photo of our youngest granddaughter, born in 2002.

Betty and Doris visited Conneaut for Thanksgiving 2005.

I just scanned the photo "The Helping Hand" by Emile Renouf (1845-1894) and would like to share. The man is my great grandfather Anthony J. Gottschalk and we believe the girl to be my grandmother's sister Anna..

I took a picture of Betty's copy of this picture that contains Great Grandpa Gottschalk and our grandmother Edith.

I've scanned this picture of an Oct. 9, 1932 wedding photo taken at Minion Studios, Corona, Long Island, NY that my mother gave me. I can't read the name (Mr and Mrs Francis ---nd) so I don't know for sure who these people are. If you recognize anyone, please send me an email. I'd be happy to share the photo with anyone who might be related to these people. I think that they are related to the Barrett, Sweet, or Gilliland branchs of my genealogy..

The previous May, we went to Conneaut via Denver over Memorial Day, 2006 to celbrate my mother's 80th birthday.

Maran and Craig flew in from Florida.

Aunt Dora and Sylvia attended from West Virginia.

All of the Brainard children were able to attend.

I've been working on a 'small' website for the NM - Albuquerque District United Methodist Women. You can view it at http://geocities.com/albuquerqueumw/

I've updated my GEDcom files at Rootsweb. Please let me know of any problems and I'll try to correct them quickly!

I've entered the rest of the FRARY data at Rootsweb (2 books and 5 suppliments) and have made cd's of the data. I've sent out several copies and supplied FFA copies for the reunion.

In memory of my pet, Shadow.
