Val and Kelly moved back to Washington from Albuquerque (Feb 2007). I drove to Seattle over Memorial day 2002 with a stop in Denver and we moved her to NM. She made another trip to Seattle to move her friend Kelly. Both Val and Kelly were working for T Mobile. Steph and James had a double wedding with their friends Sara & Steve.(See picture from wedding on main page). They are still living in Denver with Krista and Emily who was born Oct. 29th.

All of our friends and family who owned B&Bs have now sold them. Too bad we only got to visit the one in Chama, NM.

Tom's Aunt Mary Mandel celebrated her 90th birthday on April 1, 2001. They celebrated with a mass and party.

October 2003, I worked at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with my Kiwanis club. I worked 12/13 sessions with my club at the busiest addmission gate. I forgot to take my camera this year so we don't have current pictures to share. I went to Amarillo for training in August, 2003. Tom and I took the time to visit his Aunt and cousins in Arlington, TX. She passed away about a month after our visit. Two of her grandsons were married this summer. I think both services were in the St. Louis area. Krista turned six and loves her private school experience. Emily will be one at the end of Oct. She's walking and starting to talk. Tom and I have visited with them a couple of times this summer and plan to go back to Denver at the end of Oct to see the grandkids and attend the Simon and Garfunkel concert. All seems to be well in Ohio. I've heard that there is a wedding and a new baby on the horizon for my sister Edna's family

Our family met in NJ for Suzanne and Tom's wedding memorial day weekend 2001. All of the resumes and the help from a friend netted me a job! I was laid off April 2, 1999 and started my new job April 2, 2001!! I had a 2 hour commute so we bought a trailer in Los Alamos. I'm also working on breathing at 7000 ft altitude! I spent the weekend before starting work visiting Steph and Krista in Denver. It snowed while I was visiting. I thought Spring had arrived but we're still getting some snow flurries in the mountains. Tom and I spent Thanksgiving 2001 in Tucson with Mark/Margaret, Jude/Mark, and Tom's mother. She passed away in Jan 2002. We arranged for Steph, Val, and Krista to join the family at the funeral in Dansville, NY.

Tom & I went to Tucson for New Years 2001 to celebrate with ML, Scott, and family. We also spent Thanksgiving, 2000 in Tucson. We enjoyed celebrating with Evie, Fred, Les, Mark T, Margaret, Jude, and Mark A. I also took Shadow with me for a week visit with Steph & Krista while Tom was working in Denver earlier in Nov.

I went to Tacoma, WA in July, 2000 to visit Val then July 29th I attended the Trautlein family reunion in Ithaca, NY. From there, I spent 2 weeks visiting my mother, sisters, taking photos of grave stones and gathering info on my family genealogy. The 12th of Aug, 2000, Dorothy & I attended the Frary Family Association reunion in Deerfield, MA. We spent the night with Ed in Cheshire before his move to VA. I left the following Wed after visiting with Fred, Les, Sue, and Mary. On the way back to New Mexico, I stopped at Steph, Merle, & Krista's apartment in Littleton. BALLOON FIESTA was October 7 - 15, 2000. 9 hard days of working for our Kiwanis club budget! Debbie & I also worked with Gerard & Mildred at the Santa Fe Zozobra festival.

Edna, Maran and I had a great time in Pittsburg at the USS Evans 1999 reunion. Mother has been making plans for the 2001 Evans reunion which has been changed to Buffalo, NY. Chuck Thompson, Evan's webmaster has updated the link and added information about the 2001 reunion. Maran has been looking into hotels for the 2001 Evans reunion.

Thanksgiving 1999 Tom and I drove to Denver to get Steph & Krista. Then the 4 of us visited Val in Washington and drove to Tucson for Thanksgiving with Evie, Mark & Jude, and Mark & Margaret. We enjoyed the company of Matt and Mark's parents (Grace and Howard). We spent 2 nights at ENCHANTED DEER HAVEN in Chama then returned Steph & Krista to their home in CO. It was a lot of miles but Krista was really good for a 2 yr old and we enjoyed everyones company.

In September 1999, I had the chance to drive to Connecticut for the 350th anniversary reunion of the arrival of Daniel Brainard/erd to this country. On the way, I enjoyed visiting with ML, Scott, and family, David, Karen and family, Mark and Margaret, Fred and Les, and attended a birthday party for Brenda in Mass.

During July of 1998, Val & I drove to Alaska. We saw 3 cubs and 3 adult black bear. Val decided to leave Anchorage and move to Juneau. She and her cats drove to the ferry in Haynes. She saw her first 2 moose, a porcupine, 2 snowy owls, and several other animals along the way. She has been in Tacoma long enough for us to take her furniture to her!

Valerie plays the double bass and was active in the Albuquerque Youth Symphony program. She was chosen second in NM for All State competion in her senior year.

Tom & I started singing with a gospel group on two Sat. evenings each month. Our Kiwanis club meets at 6:30am on Monday mornings.

Tikie and I drove to 1998 Comdex in 10 hours! We attended the fall APSUG meeting at the Orleans hotel. (APCUG=Association of PC User Groups). We attended as reps for the New Mexico Computer Society and (Windows Information Forum Special Interest Group). (WIF has disbanded with Tikie's move to Santa Fe)
