Mrs. Martha Swinney, aged 80 years, wife of F.M. Swinney, died Saturday at her home near Varnell. Funeral services were conducted Sunday from the Mt. Olivet church by Rev. Mr. Cook. Interment being made in a nearby cemetery, with Carter and Sons in charge. Mrs. Swinney is survived by her husband and ten children.

Mr. Marion Swenney, 92, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.H. Webb, near Varnell, Friday morning at 6 o'clock. He is survived by five daughters Mrs. Winnie Plemons of Greggar, Texas, Mrs. Mollie of Whitfield, Mrs. Lida Webb of Whitfield, Mrs. Addie Feagans of Whitfield, Mrs. Geneva mcAlister of Chatanooga; three sons, Hadden Sweeney of Comanche Texas, George Swenney of Cedartown GA, Fred Swenney of Whitfield. 63 grandchildren, 115 great grandchildren abd one great great grandchild. Funeral services were held at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church, Whitfield Co., Sunday afternoon at 2 oclock. Rev. Fred Cook, assisted by Sam Milsap officiated. burial was made in the local cemetery with Kenemer Brothers in charge. More About Francis Marion Swinney:
