Welcome to our website. I started this site, when Scotty was about 2 years old, with the purpose of giving a view of a family with a child with Down syndrome to the general population, and to give hope and strength to new families.

If you visit the other pages in this website you will find that we are like most other families: we work, we travel, we go to the movies and restaurants, our child goes to school and has friends, etc.

Of course we have more challenges than many, but we have the support of our family, our friends and our community.

When Scotty was born and we found out he had Down syndrome, our biggest concern was that we didn't know anything about Down syndrome. The little we knew was mostly from gossip and insults overheard. As you can imagine it was all negative. I am hoping that our website will make a difference for a few people.
