You've been to the doctor, you've been given bad news
The tumor is cancer, he is saying to you
Now you must have treatments to survive this you know
And I'm here to tell you, there's life after chemo.

Now the best treatment will be given to you.
It's your darkest moment. Good days will be few
You're counting the treatments you have left to go
One day at a time, there's life after chemo.

Your hair will soon vanish, but no one has to know
There's toupees and wigs until the hair grows
And make-up works wonders, if you lose your glow
Just thank God you made it, there's life after chemo.
