ALL ABOUT ARMOUR
Armour is a Puffkin that retired very soon after being released. He was introduced in April of 1998 with Franklin, Albert & Dottie. You will only find Armour with the Lavender (3rd generation) swing tag. Armour was retired quickly on May 29, 1998. Only a couple shipments to stores included Armour, and some retailers never received a shipment that included him. Swibco gave the reason for his quick retirement being his tan coloring. They concluded that "real" Armadillos are gray in color. This is interesting because I've never seen a purple Hippo (Henrietta). Ha! Ha! Anyways, many collectors speculate it is because of the fabric problem that he was so quickly retired.

This picture is very detailed and takes a long time to load, so be patient! Look very closely at the picture and you will see the "fur up" on the left. "Fur up" is considered the variation, however it is my understanding and experience that it is not more "rare". Actually Armour's fabric was cut in such a way that the "nap" went up or down depending on how many little Armours they could cut out of the fabric without waste. The real "variation" would be with half of his back having "fur up" and the other half having "fur down". This would increase the value by 10 to 20%. Most collectors try to get one of each Armour and this increases his popularity and price.
