Those Dynamic Dinosaurs!

Meet Drake, Dinky & Pickles!

Aren't these guys cute! These dinosaurs were released in the Fall, 1997 batch of Puffkins along with 13 others, including Tasha. All three dinosaurs can be found with both 2nd and 3rd generation tags. It is difficult to know yet which tag generation will be considered "rarer" however, the older tag is always considered more valuable just because of the time factor.

All three dinosaurs were retired by Swibco on May 10, 1998. Swibco said the reason for the retirement was because these were the only three Puffkin with necks and they wanted the Puffkins to stay uniform. Now all current Puffkins are similar because they do not have necks. These dinosaurs are actually very popular with younger children because the neck gives them a place to grab a hold of the Puffkin easily.

Dinky, Pickles & Drake Dino Trio is rarely found at retail stores these days (but you might get lucky)!  Drake & Pickles seem harder to find then Dinky.

Check your tags carefully! There were lots of tags with names and style numbers switched on these three. A switched tag does not necessarily mean it is more valuable, in fact most collectors consider it less valuable.

Pickles is green, Drake is red and Dinky is yellow.
