The God I Know

I have not known a God who was not there When I was in trouble or in despair. He gave me His peace as I waited to see How He was working things out for me. He gave peace and hope and faith, not sight, So I could walk with Him, not live in fright. Oft' the way was dark, but he held my hand When I could not see or understand. I'm thankful for His grace and loving care Thru any trouble I have had to bear. He has been faithful to this very day, But that is not all I have to say. He lives within me, so why should I fear When Jesus my Lord is so very near! No one could do more or be more for me, And He'll be with me thru Eternity. by: Anna Lee Walker
