Dedicated To Maxx
Maxx - The
Maxximum Greyhound
Such a handsome big red boy. With your gleaming coat and perfect
face.
Such a patient big red boy. While others in the pack looked for
attention, you would stand back and only come when you heard your
name
called.
Such a good big red boy. Never taking advantage of your red fawn
girlfriend, always being a gentleman keeping her company when she
is
scared.
Such a brave big red boy. Taking one day at a time. Always being
the
strong silent type - through pain and discomfort you would not
utter a
cry.
Maxx the Maxximum Greyhound - you will be remembered forever. Run
like
the wind chasing the bunnies, till you are reunited with your
family
once again.
Rest in Peace Big Red Boy.

If Maxx could
send you a letter from The Rainbow Bridge, it would
read like this:
My Dearest Mom:
Thank you for saving my life when no one else was there,
for giving me the loving home and time to enjoy peace after my
life at the track.
Thanks for staying up at night, for tending my wounds, caring for
me
in my illness, for your diligence in making me comfortable,
cleaning
up when I made a mess and making sure I had a clean and warm
bed when I slept.
Thanks for giving me the time to understand that I was important
and
worthy of that love, for the fun when I was feeling well, for the
hugs,
kisses and caresses when I was feeling unwell.
For the medicine that I didn't like to take, for the good food
and
special treats that I loved to eat. For the rides in the car and
my
fine wardrobe in which I looked so handsome (esp. the Leopard
Skin outfit). Thanks for the company of my other furfriends, our
family and our time together.
But most of all, thank you for giving me comfort and peace when
I could not longer endure. I am truly at rest with loving
memories
of you, my Mom who performed the bravest act of all, letting go.
All my love,
Maxx
