General Information

Batu Gajah is located in the Kinta district 24 km from the capital city of Perak, Ipoh & along the expressway to the tourist destinations of Lumut & Pangkor Island. It is the birthplace of our present Ruler of Perak ( Sultan of Perak ). It is also the adminstrative centre of the Kinta district.

How to get to Batu Gajah

By air flight from Penang or Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh, then take the expressway from Ipoh to Lumut, turn left at the junction to Batu Gajah

By road from Penang exit highway at Jelapang ( just before reaching Ipoh ) and join the expressway to Lumut. By road from Kuala Lumpur exit highway at Gopeng. Turn right & proceed through Gopeng town. After Gopeng turn left to Batu Gajah. This route will pass by Kellie's Castle. Map of Perak
