"Dresden Plate" Quilt - 1993 Machine pieced and hand quilted by Edith Hearn, Arichat, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. Edith has been quilting for many years and is well known in her community for the beautiful quilts. This picture was taken at a 1993 quilting class at St. Peter's District High School. The class was sponsored by Richmond Recreation and the instructor was Debbie Burke.


"Trip Around the World" Quilt - 1993 Machine pieced and hand quilted by Kathleen MacDonald of Poulamond, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. This was Kathleen's first attempt at quiltmaking. This picture was taken at a 1993 quilting class at St. Peter's District High School. The class was sponsored by Richmond Recreation and the instructor was Debbie Burke. Since this class, Kathleen has hand quilted several other quilts. Her latest project was an Irish Chain, hand quilted in 2000.


"Card Tricks" 1996. Machine pieced and hand quilted by Marilyn Bourdreu, French Cove, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. This was Marilyn's first quilting venture. Unfortunately, Marilyn hasn't made a quilt since this one, she's waiting for retirement before getting back into quiltmaking.


"Log Cabin" 1996. This Log Cabin quilt is being thread basted by Donna Trembley and Linda Buchanan, West Bay, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. This picture was taken during a quilt class sponsored by Kaleigh's Krafts of St. Peter's, NS. Instructor Debbie Burke.


"Log Cabin" 1997. Machine pieced and hand quilted by Geraldine Landry, Arichat, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. This picture was taken at the Active Living Center in Arichat during a quilt class sponsored by Richmond Recreation. Instructor Debbie Burke.


"Log Cabin" 1997. Machine pieced and hand quilted by Mary Doucet, Chapel Island, Richmond County, Nova Scotia Mary has made several quilts since this picture was taken.
