Edith has been quilting for many years and is well known in her community for the beautiful quilts. This picture was taken at a 1993 quilting class at St. Peter's District High School. The class was sponsored by Richmond Recreation and the instructor was Debbie Burke.
"Trip Around the World" Quilt - 1993 Machine pieced and hand quilted by Kathleen MacDonald of Poulamond, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. This was Kathleen's first attempt at quiltmaking. This picture was taken at a 1993 quilting class at St. Peter's District High School. The class was sponsored by Richmond Recreation and the instructor was Debbie Burke. Since this class, Kathleen has hand quilted several other quilts. Her latest project was an Irish Chain, hand quilted in 2000.
