I love going to Highland Festivals and Games! Living near Gatlinburg, TN in the misty Smoky Mountains puts me near the games held there as well as the Grandfather Mountain and Stone Mountain Festivals. I claim clan affiliation to both the Clan Buchanan ( father's side) as well as the Clan MacLennan ( mother's side). Of course, I still love any and everything tartan! Being artistic, I love to dabble in many mediums: stained glass ( I make stained glass jewelry, too!), water colours and oils, drawing ( ever since I could hold a pencil in my hand), chemical glass etching, cross stitch, creating things on my computer ( book marks, business cards, stationery, etc.), and just about anything that I can get my hands on to make something interesting out of nothing in order to vent my creativity. I enjoy good clean humour with the occasional ( but not too bad!) touch of naughtiness. Puns are my favourite type of jokes. I like to be able to laugh as often as possible as I believe that laughter is good for the soul. I enjoy sharing information which may be of some help to someone else. Hence, this web site came into creation. I had so many wonderfully outstanding links bookmarked that I felt the need to put them all in one place and share them with others. Many people, like myself, are interested in their roots so I have the "Genealogy" page as well as the " Scotland, Aye!" page. As you may have already noticed, I am of Scottish descent and proud of it! Perhaps that explains why my earliest recollection of any of my childhood clothing was of a tartan jumper. I am one of those right brain type folks...artistic, creative, sensitive, a romantic at heart and I enjoy a bit of fantasy here and there.
