The Huguenot Foundation of South Africa
is an umbrella organisation that encompases the controlling boards of three
distinct entities, namely:
The
members of the Huguenot
Society of South Africa endeavours to preserve and promote the
Huguenot heritage in South Africa through various activities, and undertake
research into the history and genealogy of Huguenot families in South Africa. |

The
Huguenot
Museum in Franschhoek, South Africa, is managed by a Board of Trustees
whose members are appointed by the Western Cape Provincial government as
part of the museums of the province. |

Huguenot
Monument is situated in Franschhoek, South Africa, and is managed
by a Board of Control whose members are appointed by Huguenot Foundation
of South Africa. |

A separate not-for-profit entity, the
Huguenot
Trust of South Africa, is the legal owner of the buildings in
which the Huguenot Museum is located in Franschhoek, Western Cape, South
Africa; the contents of the museum, as well as the grounds on which the
Huguenot Monument has been erected. It also serves as a fundraising body
for the Foundation and looks after its investments.

3rd
International Huguenot Conference: The Huguenot Foundation of South
Africa was the co-sponsor of the 3rd International Huguenot Conference,
with the theme "The Huguenots: Origins, Settlement
and Influence: the story of a refugee people", which was held in
South Africa from September 25-27, 2002. Click here
