This Week's Happening's!

1 Febuary 1999

Well, this week went much smoother in the house than last week did! All that happened was a busted pipe in the basement... My fault on that one! I turned the faucet on, it worked, and turned it off, and it slammed into the opposite wall, followed by A LOT of water! Got it turned off, and the landlord was there pretty quick to fix it! All in all, just a few wet things! No proble though! This electricity thing is a pain in the butt though. At least in Japan, we could plug things in and they worked! Maybe slower... but the ran on 110! Have to get a transformer for everything. The trick is to get one that is at least as many Watts as you need, but as close to it as you can. The reason is, no matter what you have plugged into a 500W transformer... wether it be 20W, or 499W, you are pulling 500W worth of electricity! Not too cool if you think about the bill!

I do hope that everyone enjoyed getting to watch the Superbowl. I sure wish that we could have! The Madden Team came on at 7:00, then the pre-game at 8:00, with the game to follow that at midnight.... wouldn't you know that at 7:10 the satelite that we have to have to get the American tv off base went "no signal"!!!! I was NOT happy about that! So... If anyone taped that, please let me know. I already know who one, but I would LOVE to watch the game! Oh yeah.... leave the comercials in!

Cheri is doing good, and has begun to get into her grove thing! She seems to have a better contol of what it is that she wants to do! She really misses everybody, and can't wait to go back to the States! I agree! It is nice over here, but we are tired of it! We want to be in the land of the "Wal-Mart Supercenter"!!! We are not dwelling on it by any means... but we are ready to come home... 23 more months! hahaha...

The girls are great! They had a 3 day weekend, and found some of their school mates that live in the area! They had a good time playing, and doing whatever it is that 4 little girls do! They are enjoying it, whatever it is!

As you have seen... we are here and having a blast! Come by whenever you feel like it, and we will do it up right!
