This Week's Happening's!

Happy Holidays to all that venture here! Cheri and I would like to express our deepest and most heart felt wishes that you and yours have a great Holiday season and a Happy New Year!
This was a great week! There was much to do in preparation for the Thanksgiving feast! My sister Lo and her friend Mat and his two boys came in Wed night, all the way from "up" town Houston! Talk about a lllloooonnnnggggg trip they had to go through!!! hehehe Brother Sam and his wife Johannah came in Thursday with a surprise visitor! Jeff Skipski, Sam's long time friend was blessed with the Heywood's for the weekend! Cheri had a good week, and I think that I am getting into the idea of doing nothing.
Pop has started a new "tradition" with the girls. After dinner, he packs them up and heads out to TCBY for soft-serve yogurt with toppings! They think that is the greatest! The girls played hard this week, and I think that Mat's boys were a little glad to get rid of them! The 4 of them sure did play hard! Luke, the 12 year old had brought a Play Station, and had successfully beaten everyone in NFL Game Day, then Chelsea got on there, and beat his booty! He would not let her play!!! We sure got a kick out of that!
Saturday, Sam and Pop and Mat and I went to play golf, and since I used to caddy for Cheri's oldest of the brothers, Walt, I have never seen anyone play like that! We had a great time, and have a few funny stories from that game! Cheri and Lo took the kids to the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Museum of Natural Science, and they had a great time! They also had passes to the Houston Fine Art Museum, and I know that the girls just did not grasp how a picture of "nothing" could be art... I must agree!
The Christmas shopping has started, and I sure have forgotten how crowded and hectic this place can get! They sure do have the selections and sales though! Kind of like information overload, just kind of walk around wide-eyed and not knowing exactly what to do!

The girls are doing good! The cold is the only thing holding Caroline back! They are starting to really get into the scope of the TV, and they like it! Cheri and I can't wait to take them shopping!
