The countdown seems to be speeding up now! The Air Force has seen fit to only offer me two bases for my return to the States. One is Andrews MD, and the other is Minot ND. I tell you one thing, I was NOT happy about that. I even called the people in charge and challenged the choices and they say that is all that there is. Well, sorry Tim, but no way am I going to go to Andrews, so I actually had to put Minot on my choice list. It is the last choice, but I had to put it on so that they would not put me in Andrews. Talk about feeling raw. The entire last two weeks have been a real "eye opener" from the Air Force. With 9 to go, I do believe I will make the decisions now! So... I put in for a Special Duty in Moody GA! For those in the SF's and know what I am talking about, I put in for the 822nd! They need RTO's and UDM's and that is what I did for 5 years in Japan! Tough schedule, but it is a schedule and the wife and kids will be in an area of the country that "someone" might come and visit! I emailed the Chief in charge with a question and he knew who I was, emailed me back and told me to get him my package ASAP so that he could get me inbound! For not kowing if I have the job yet, I think that is a pretty good hint! Anyway, we are making plans for Minot, but checking out all there is about Valdosta!

Cheri was in shock about the choices, to say the least. Then the next morning she woke me up at 6:30 with all kinds of information about Minot ND! She had been online for a few hours already and did her thing. We wanted the US, just was not prepared for what the Air Force had in mind for us. Other than the upcoming move, she has had a pretty good week. Keeping the kids, house, dog, cat and husband all in line and doing all she can to make us comfortable!

The girls are still the champions of the pool and nary a day goes by without them not getting in! Chelsea twisted her foot Friday so she has had a limp, but she is getting better quick. Caroline made pancakes this morning and did a great job! We both learned that the temp of the stove does not need to be on "High" for pancakes.... the house still has a "smell" to it! We learned though!

Rumor has it that my MOM is coming in mid August and that my sister and a friend might come over in late September! Book your plans to come visit now! Quick! We leave in December! Thanksgiving will be here, but on paper plates probably!
