Happy Holidays to all that venture here! Cheri and I would like to express our deepest and most heart felt wishes that you and yours have a great Holiday season and a Happy New Year!
This week was a good one, Monday through Thursday was much of the same... get caught up on what there is in the States! There was not much to report on for those days... Except... I went to my Uncle Carl's place and he and his buddy Bob, and my Dad and I played golf!!! I do love that golf course, and have been blessed enough to have played it 2 times now! Feel bad because I have not played in a year, so I launched 3 drives into the neighborhood. I hope either I missed, or their insurance was paid up! Sorry about that Uncle Carl! Otherwise the game was about all that I could have expected in not playing in such a long time! Had a blast! Thursday started with me taking Cheri to the airport... she went to Pensylvania to visit a good buddy! The girls and I sure did miss her... talk about being weird that she left, and not me. Saturday was spent with me sitting in front of the TV watching College Football!!!! Good thing that Cheri was gone, I watched ALL of them! My dad was going crazy 'cause I had the remote, and he is a BIG channel changer durring the comercials! I don't think that the TV knew what happened, being on the same channel ALL day! Then Sunday was my 31st birthday, and we watched all the pro football games! Dinner was Rib-Eye steaks at 10:30pm... had to wait for Cheri to get home! Talk about AWESOME! Nothing beats Texas, Black Angus beef!
Cheri's week was uneventful at first, then her trip began to the country of PA! Thursday she had two flights to get there, then Alicia picked her up and the journey really began! They stopped at the "old" Waterford Hotel in Waterford PA, where they had dinner and laughs! Then on Friday, they went to some "local" country stores so that Cheri could see the "goods!" She even had Ox Tail for lunch!!! She said that it tastes like chicken! Not really. Then on Saturday they were up at 9:00 and went to all the neighboring towns, and Amish area where Cheri had a blast! The sights were outstanding and the company was great! She brough back an old red pulley for the kitchen, and beanie babies for the girls, and I got an old gnarley walking stick! Saturday night was spent in front of the TV with friends! Sunday was brunch with the family, then back to the airport and back to us!
Phil is doing good. He has moved back in with his Uncle Glenn, so that he can save money to go to Washington in the early spring! Other than that, he has a job building models at expo's and stuff, whatever that means!
The girls are having a blast. They were none to happy when Cheri left for her trip though! Caroline informed me that it was my job to go on trips, NOT Moms! They moped around all weekend for the most part, and when I pulled up in the driveway with their Momma, they were outside jumping up and down!!! Talk about a nice welcome home!
