Did you miss last week, or even last years installments? No worries, just check out previous to get up to date on the best family on the net!
The big news for this week is that we got notification of our departure date! We fly out of Spain on 5 December and get into Norfolk VA about 1750 hours! Yes, we are getting really jittery and excited now! The following day we will fly into Atlanta and then catch a connecting flight to Houston! Yes, that will happen on the 6th of December... my birthday... WHAT A PRESENT! Thanks to Pop and his travel agency, we got some really cheap tickets and "can do easy!"
The housing thing is just another "welcome" back to the USA. The kicker of the entire thing is that Moody has only 98 houses on base for enlisted folk, and over 3500 enlisted! The wait is 2-3 years for base housing! What a coincidence, that is the length of the Special Duty that I have there! SO... that is what we have to look foreward to! To quote the good friend Monte... "I ain't scared"!!!
The girls are doing great!!!! They have been trooping along with a song and a smile! EVEN though they have traded colds with each other, with their mom and with the rest of the kids on base! They have pulled through quite well and are back to normal! Playing and having a blast over this 4 day weekend they are having! Talk about lucky!

The assignment is in Valdosta and we are just as excited as can be. There is lots to do there, including an amusement park and a lot of other things... the newspaper is a good source of information that we have. So here we come! Early January is when we have to be there, and we can't wait!
