This is Chelsea Nichole Heywood's page! She was born in the base hospital at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. She came to us on March 27, 1991. That was a first for me, I was gone for Caroline's birth! I got to be there the entire time, and it was quite a time for me! Cheri said her water broke and then went on to take a shower, and do whatever else she thought was prudent at the time, meanwhile, I am going crazy! Don't we need to GO??? Well, we got there, and they said that her water had broken, but she was not dialated, and about 38 hours later, POP, there was Chelsea!
Phewww... she looked awful! I guess that a dad doesn't see the beauty in a child fresh out of her mother, but after about 20 seconds, I saw it! What a beautiful sight that is! Mom, all aglow, child (kicking and screaming) in all her newborn glory!
Well, to say the least, she grew into a beautiful little girl! She has the funniest sense of humor, and keeps me and her mom in stitches! Her outlook on life in general is so honest! She is one of those kids that will tell you what is on her mind, and not think anything about it! That is what keeps Cheri and I laughing so much!
She is pretty shy at first, we use her as a guage of other people! If she doesn't warm up to them, they are usually not very "good" people anyway! She has really begun to come out of her shell, and I think that is because of a next door neighbor that we had while in Japan. School has also helped, and now, she is just the happy-go-lucky kid that really doesn't give a hoot about anything!
Chelsea is the epitomy of a little girl. I guess more of a kid first! She will pick up the bugs, and put them in her pockets, and keep them for later. She is more of a little girl than her sister, although her sister won't come near a bug.
She is doing very well in school, and is an awesome little lady. I can't wait to see how she "turns out"!
