Using cloth diapers is a personal choice like breastfeeding.
It is kinder to the environment, baby's bottom and usually cheaper.
After you are done using them you can save them for your next child or sell them.
The only extra "work" is the extra laundry, depending on how many diapers you
have, 2-3 loads extra a week.
I wash all the time it seems anyway and the machine does almost all of the work.
I don't have to leave the house with two kids and go to the store in search of
diapers "on sale".
I got so tired of the disposable diapers leaking all the time.
Since I have used cloth, I haven't had poop run up my baby's back and in his clothes yet. Maybe a little runs into the cover, but it holds it in.
The diapers I use at night are so absorbent that I can leave them on for 10 hours
and they don't leak (it's becoming a challenge to find diapers absorbent enough for my now 14 mos old though...)
With disposables I had to change him at least once during the night.
