The information below was discovered accidentally when I located a copy of "The Bourne Genealogy" by Helen Bourne Joy Lee (see below)to find out why the Lindsey's(and Wardwells) are buried in the Bourne plot in North Cemetery Bristol. Imagine my surprise as I was researching the paternal side (the Lindseys) of the family to find information on the maternal side (Wrightingtons)! And I never knew that my great grandfather's mother had been married twice - and had children in her second marriage. And those children have ancestors who go back generations to first settlers of Massachusetts, with connections to Bristol families like the Wardwell's thrown in.

stay with his brother Henry in Scituate. One of earliest settlers in Shawnee Mass incorporated

as the first missionary to the Mashpee Indians
