Charles E. ``Chip`` Smeigh, 65, of 268 Carlisle Ave., Enola, died
Sunday in Cumberland County Nursing Home. He was retired from
Conrail; a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, United
Railway Supervisors Association, Perry F&AM Lodge 458, Harrisburg
Consistory, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Odd Fellows and the
Citizens Fire Company; and a World War II veteran. Surviving are
his wife, Arlene E. Smeigh; two sons, Charles J. and Randall,
both of Enola; a sister, Mary Withington of Camp Hill; four
brothers, Donald of Steelton, Ray of Dillsburg, Dwight of Hawaii
and Carl of Camp Hill; and a granddaughter. Services will be held
at 10 a.m. Friday in his church. Burial will be in Rolling Green
Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday at Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola, where Masonic services
will be held at 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to
the building fund at his church, 22 Salt Road, Enola 17025.
