Clair MeClure Smee, 84, of RD3 Shermans Dale, died Wednesday
April 17, 1996, in Hily Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born July 2, 1911, in Wheatfield Township, Perry County, He was
a son ofthe late George B. and Catherine Cornman Smee. Mr. Smee
was retired from Meyers Asphalt PAving Co. in Mechanicsburg. He
was a member of Shermans Dale Fire Company. Surviving are his
wife of 63 years, Mabel M. Kitner Smee: one son, Robert L. of RD2
Shermans Dale; four daughters, Esther M. Wadsworth of Carlisle,
Arlene C. Souder of RD2 Mifflintown and Betty Jane Smee and Anna
Marie Paulus, both of RD3 Shermans Dale; one sister, Esther A.
Bornman of Dauphin; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Parkison; a
brother, Britton Smee; and a sister, Valeria Zeigler. Services
will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630
S. Hanover St. Carlisle, with the Rev. Ron Doverspike officating,
Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West
Pennsboro Township. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home.
