Elizabeth Smeigh Corl

Elizabeth Smeigh, wife of John Carl deceased, died
April 6th at the residence of her grandson, Charles Carl
In Tyrone Township. She was aged 87 years, 5 months,
And 16 days. She was the mother of eleven children,
Four of whom preceeded her in death, seven are living,
viz: Mrs. James Snyder, Mrs James Hood, Mrs William
Sponsler. And John A. Carl all of Carlisle. Henry Carl of
Plainfield, Emanuel Carl, of Landisburg and Adeline, who
Resides with Charles in Tyrone township. Mrs Carl had 40
Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-
Grandchildren. She was a member of the Reformed Church
For sixty years. Her mind was unusually good for a person of
Her age. One week previsous to her death she remarked that
She was at Mrs. Rhule's wedding who died the same day she
died.
