John M. Parkison

John M. Parkison, 81, of New Bloomfield RR1, died Saturday,
April 15, in the Carlisle Hospital
He was born July 12, 1913, in Carro;; Twp, to the late Harry
M. and Mary (Stouffer) Parkison.
He was retired from Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. and farming:
was a former member of New Bloomfield Fire Company and Ambulance
Club; an alumni of the Lackey School; and was a member of the
former Sandy Hollow Church of God.
He was the widow of Helen M. Smeigh Parkison. Surviving are a
son, Robert L. of New Bloomfield; two daughters, Mary Alice
Keller of Shermans Dale and Susan M. Barnhart of Carlisle; a
sister Elreta Mullen of Shermans Dale; a brother, James of New
Bloomfield; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Vaughm, and a
grandson, Clinton Parkison
Services were held Wednesday, April 19, in Boyer Funeral Home,
with the Rev. J. Milford Brubaker officating. Burial was in
New Bloomfield Cemetery.
