Philip Herbert Smeigh

Philip Herbert Smeigh, son of Philip A. and Elma
Paul Smeigh, of 542 Fifty-first street, Altoona, died at
the Altoona hospital at 3:20 o'clock Wednesday afternoon,
death being caused by complications. The young man was
born in Altoona on March 29, 1913, and he had just com-
pleted his second year in the Altoona High School. He
was a member of Grace Reformed Church and of the Young
Men's Bible Class of the Sunday School. Surviving are
his parents, four brothers and one sister, Raymond Smeigh
of Barnesboro, Harold, Gerald, and Helen Dorothy Smeigh
of Altoona. Funeral services were conducted Saturday
morning at 10 o'clock at the home, Rev. Ralph J. Harrity,
pastor of Grace Reformed, officating, assisted by Rev. E. C
. Myers, pastor of the Fifty-eighth Street Methodist Church
. Interment was made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Williams-
burg. The deceased father was a former resident of New
Bloomfield. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Smeigh and two sons Percy
and Robert and Mrs. Clarence Clouser of Duncannon attended
the funeral last Saturday.
