Capt. Ronald Francis Smee, 50, of 36 Sunset Ave., Long Branch,
N.J., formerly of New Cumberland, died Saturday in Robert Wood
Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick, N.J. He was retired
from the U.S. Marine Corps; was the staff principal engineer
for ARINC Research Corp., Fort Monmouth, N.J.; a veteran of the
Vietnam War; and was a member of Red Bank, N.J., United Methodist
Church, Fort Monmouth, N.J., Officers Club and North Carolina
State University Alumni Association. Surviving are his fiancee,
Mary T. Gulvas of Long Branch; his mother, Elizabeth Bivens Smee
of New Cumberland; a brother, Robert S. of New Cumberland; and a
sister, Elizabeth J. Markley of Newberrytown. Services
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Community United
Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling
Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be from 7 to
9 p.m. Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
