Samuel A. Smeigh

Samuel A. Smeigh, a well-known resident of Centre
township died in the State Hospital, Harrisburg on
Friday. He was 81 years old and death resulted from
the indimities incident to long life. He had been in the
hospital only a few weeks, having previously made
his home with his brother, William H. Smeigh, in
East Centre township.
The deceased was a son of George and Catharine
(Sweger) Smeigh, who resided near Crum Corner,
Centre township. For many years he lived in this
place and was well known here. He was a member of
the Methodist Church ans in political fath was a
Democrat. His many old friends learned of his death
with sincere regret.
Funeral Services were held in the Methodist
church here yesterday, conducted by the pastor,
Rev. Z. Weston, and burial was in Bloomfield
Cemetery.
