Bearly Airborne

Bearly Airborne is a twin sized Stain glass quilt that was finished
in March 1997. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. This quilt was on
display at Quilts on The Rocks at Laurentian University in October 1997. At
Christmas time it was given to my nephew, Jason as a gift.

Fantasy

A Little Bit of Fantasy is a twin sized Stain glass quilt that was
finished in August 1997. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. This was also
on display at Quilts on The Rocks 1997. This one was given to my neice
Joanne for Christmas that year.

swans

Togetherness is a quilt that I finished in January 1996. The
silohuettes of the swans were appliqued onto an Amish Medallion quilt top that
I had finished a few years previous, and hadn't quilted as it was a little
on the loud side. The addition of the swans toned it down immensely. This quilt
was also on display at Quilts on the Rocks 1997, and is in my permanent
collection. It is all done by hand also.

gills

This is one of the many Amish Center Medallion quilts that I have
made. This one was made and then sold to Gil, a friend of mine who lives in Montreal,
and is now retired from VIA Rail. This quilt that was made in 1986 is reversible
with opposite colours used. One of my 'brighter' ideas to make two identical
quilt tops, ended up taking 8 hours to baste everything together so
that every seam line would match up perfectly.

Samuels

The Samuels Rose was finished in Feb 1986 after Robert, who lives south
of Montreal, asked me to make him a quilt using the same colours as I
had used previously on another quilt. I had to sit and plan it all out
on graph paper so that I could figure out which colours to put where, as I
couldn't find any replacement material to match the brown and gold. The
gods were in my favour as I sure didn't have very many leftovers from this one.

Shirley

This Amish Bars quilt was commisioned by Joyce Gillies, so that she could
give it to her daughter as a belated wedding gift. It wasn't finished until
Dec 1992 as I broke my arm three days after the wedding and lost the use
of it for quite a while after. This was a good exercise program. It is
owned by my buddy Shirley, who lives in Capreol, Ontario.
